Graphic Design And The Internet

If you are going to go to the trouble, effort, expense and in some cases issues in getting a website designed for your new or existing business you should be really asking yourself this very important question: do I design a website that will be visually stunning and extremely creative which might be very bad for search engine optimisation or do we design a website for the purpose of a search engine ranking.

If you do do the latter then you will in most cases compromise on and the attractiveness of your website but you will be conforming to all the rules that are stipulated to by Google. This will give you a greater chance of getting found on Google and may in fact get more sales calls to your business. On the other hand if you do have to whizz bang website with all the bellsNo whistles you may in fact not comply with Google's laws and this may hinder your page ranking.

You can also look at this in another way, if you do everything properly and do comply with what you are told to do for a great page rank you still might not make it to page 1. These are the issues that one has to debate and work out prior to getting ones website done. The most common solution is to find a good line in the middle that will satisfy your business design requirements and at the same time work well with the search engines.

There's a lot to think about here but you only have to do this once so it is really worth the effort and time that you put into this exercise. Also, speak to professionals and do get their advice and see what they offer and recommend.
